Coverage may differ between services
A database may list an entire journal, selected years or individual articles. Searching successfully for one article does not establish complete or continuing coverage of the title.
Check a specific requirement
Before relying on a database claim for assessment, funding or promotion, confirm the official source record, coverage dates and your institution’s rules. Match the article’s DOI or full bibliographic details when checking whether a particular work has been included.
Changes over time
Services can change their selection, metadata and coverage. Previously indexed material may remain discoverable even when new content is no longer added. Use the service’s current information rather than a historic badge or an unofficial list.
Reporting a discrepancy
Send the article or journal link, database name and the record you checked to the editorial office. Corrections to third-party records are subject to the database’s own procedures and cannot be guaranteed by the journal. See also Indexing & Abstracting.
